These works began as found midi files of old hymn tunes arranged for four voices. They were then manipulated and expanded by a process of "cell division" - each bar of music being repeated according to a random algorithm resulting in the four voices phasing in and out of sync with each other. The resulting manipulated midi file was then used to control various synths that were set up to be play non specific pitches. A variety of processing devices were used to further manipulate the resulting sounds. The results were then layered.
